Donation Terms

General Donation Terms

  • All donations to The Chahal Foundation are tax-deductible to the full extent permitted by law.
  • Donations are used to support our charitable programs and operations as determined by our Board of Directors.
  • We may use donations for the general purposes of the organization unless a specific designation is made and accepted.
  • Designated donations will be used for the specified purpose to the extent possible; excess funds may be redirected to similar programs.
  • You will receive an email confirmation and tax receipt for your donation.
  • For donations of $250 or more, you will receive a written acknowledgment as required by IRS regulations.

Donation Acknowledgment

By making a donation, you acknowledge that no goods or services were provided in exchange for your contribution, except as may be specifically noted in your donation receipt. This acknowledgment satisfies IRS requirements for charitable contribution substantiation.

Refund Policy

Generally Non-Refundable

Donations to The Chahal Foundation are generally non-refundable. Once a donation is completed, it is considered a charitable gift and becomes the property of the organization.

This policy exists because charitable donations may have already been allocated to programs and claimed as tax deductions.

We will consider refund requests in the following circumstances:

  • Duplicate charges or processing errors
  • Unauthorized use of payment method
  • Technical errors resulting in incorrect amounts
  • Fraud or identity theft

To request a refund: Contact us at donations@chahalfoundation.org within 30 days of your donation with your transaction details. Approved refunds will be processed within 5-10 business days to the original payment method. If a refund is issued, any tax receipt previously provided will be void.

Recurring Donation Terms

When you set up a recurring donation (monthly, quarterly, or annual), you authorize The Chahal Foundation to automatically charge your selected payment method on a recurring basis until you cancel.

Your Rights

  • Change payment method
  • Update billing information
  • Pause and resume donations

Important Information

  • Cancellations take effect on your next billing cycle
  • Past donations are not affected by cancellation
  • You will receive confirmation of any changes
  • Annual reminders will be sent before renewal
